Get ready for the NICAS Operational Support Series
NICAS is excited to announce the launch of our Operational Support webinar series, aimed at providing accredited centres and those applying for accredited status with valuable insights and support in planning, marketing, and managing their NICAS programmes. No matter which NICAS schemes you’re currently running or planning – whether it’s NICAS Climbing, Bouldering, Wild Climbers, or Clip – this guidance will help give your centre a boost.
The first module – “NICAS Operational Support: Scheduling and Marketing Considerations” – will take place on Tuesday 12 November 2024 at 10.00am, and will be hosted by our Head of Commercial Partnerships, Tom Vaessen-Walker. Tom brings over 20 years of operational experience in the climbing sector and has managed the UK’s largest NICAS programme, making him the ideal guide on this topic.
This webinar will focus on the essential aspects of scheduling and marketing that managers and Course Directors should consider when planning and reviewing their NICAS programmes. Traditionally, NICAS has concentrated on providing support to the instructors and coaches who run NICAS sessions; however, this new series is designed to support staff working behind the scenes to ensure sessions are advertised, spaces are filled, and the schedule runs smoothly.
In this webinar, we’ll explore insights across three key areas:
- Scheduling: Explore key elements like session timings, booking systems, and accommodating progression between NICAS levels.
- Staffing: Discuss strategies for effective staff communication, instructor pathways, and ensuring adequate staffing to deliver NICAS sessions smoothly.
- Marketing: Learn strategies to raise awareness of your NICAS programmes, both within your centre and externally, using promotional tools and digital marketing assets.
At the end of each section, we will open up for Q&A. Any unanswered questions will be followed up and sent out after the webinar with additional support materials.
This module is not about offering definitive answers (which will vary for each centre), but aims to spark discussions and encourage ongoing conversations among your team about best practices.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance the success of your NICAS schemes!
